About QA Inspector Rec/MFG/Kitting

  PRIMARY FUNCTIONPerform manufacturing component testing and kitting inspections to assure compliance with technical instructions, drawings and related directives; maintain technical publications and related directive; maintain technical publications, forms and records relative to configuration control and form, fit, and function. Initiate and follow on Quality Deficiency Reports; insure compliance with related MWO requirements; insure TMDE equipment schedules are met and kept current; facilitate any special requirements as required by supervision personnel. .Perform component and shop inspections to assure compliance with Army technical instructions and related directives.

  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPerform acceptance inspection of fabricated/machined parts and mechanical assemblies purchased from vendors/suppliers to ensure compliance to drawings, specifications, and purchase order requirements.Perform acceptance inspection of purchased materials, solvents, paints, and adhesives, components and finished product(s) to assure the quality level is commensurate with specifications/standards, specified quality requirements, and purchase order requirements.Perform acceptance inspections of electrical components, wire, wiring harnesses and cable assemblies purchased from suppliers/vendors to ensure compliance to drawings, specifications, and purchase order requirements.Perform final inspection of outsourced fabricated/machined parts and mechanical assemblies to ensure compliance to drawings and specifications/standards.Coordinate with suppliers/vendors for resolution of problems associated with supplied materials.Maintain records of all receiving inspections and report on any defects found in a timely manner in order to avoid potential production delays.

  ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: KITTINGPerform inspection of kit sub-packs to ensure compliance with the drawing parts list and/or packing list material requirements.Perform final inspection of completed kits, ensuring compliance with drawing parts list and/or packing list.Coordinate and assist with customer inspection and acceptance of completed kitsRequirements

  SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This position will have no direct reports .

  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of general quality inspection procedures, maintenance forms, records, reporting system, and management thereof.Must have knowledge of the scopes and limitations of various categories of maintenance and their applications to the contract unit.Must be capable of understanding, interpreting and using complex blueprints, schematic diagrams, and data tables.Must be able to perform complete technical inspection of contract units and be able to determine that completed repairs comply with standards described in applicable publications.Must be able to instruct and demonstrate correct maintenance techniques and procedures.Position may require travel.

  QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.Must have a minimum of Six (6) years Receiving and Manufacturing Inspection experience.Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle.Must be able to communicate utilizing the English language.Must have a Secret Security Clearance.
