Description
A company in the Middlesex NJ area is currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join as a Purchaser/Buyer. This position is 100% in the office, standard hours, Monday-Friday. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to purchasing and compliance within the organization. Key responsibilities include staying informed about purchasing and internet regulations, overseeing adherence to public purchasing contract regulations, and managing bidding processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Stay abreast of purchasing and internet regulations.
Oversee compliance with public purchasing contract regulations.
Develop and assess bidding documents as needed.
Evaluate the Bidding Program for potential inclusion of new items.
Review and approve quotes from vendors.
Manage and organize bidding documents and archives.
Coordinate bid sign-ins, checklists, and bid opening notifications.
Provide support for Vendor Expo.
Handle filing tasks efficiently.
Perform general clerical duties as required.
Follow up on quarterly report pricing.
Assist in communication with vendors regarding quarterly administrative fee payments.
Verify purchase orders for compliance with specific Co-op bids.
Undertake any other duties assigned by the Business Administrator/Board Secretary.
Maintain the CEIR sheet and Vendor Contact list.

Requirements

Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
Skilled in communication and negotiation
