Universal Pictures International Netherlands is a globally operating Universal Pictures International group company. We ensure that Universal Film Studios' film productions are released in the Netherlands. Marketing, distribution, and licensing are among our main tasks. Our office releases about 50 films annually from Universal, Paramount, and Sony studios.
As the Publicity & Social Media Coordinator, you will collaborate closely with the Senior Product Manager to meticulously plan and execute end-to-end publicity campaigns for Universal theatrical releases, representing not only Universal but also Paramount and Sony releases specifically tailored for the Netherlands market. Your pivotal role involves managing campaigns from conception to delivery, ensuring they resonate effectively with the audience and contribute to increased cinema attendance. Additionally, you will oversee the dynamic landscape of social media, crafting engagement strategies across various platforms. Your influence extends to contributing to influencer marketing initiatives, where you will identify, engage, and nurture relationships with influencers to amplify campaign impact. This role demands a keen understanding of multi-studio coordination, strong organizational skills, and effective communication to drive successful outcomes in this dynamic and creative environment.
Responsible for coordinating and assisting in implementing publicity campaigns from conception to final delivery for each Universal, Paramount & Sony release. Ensure each release gets its necessary attention and focus.
Implement digital media (websites/ social media, trailer launches, etc.) to the publicity campaign in a unique way, coordinating all social media assets and plans, following trends on various platforms like Snapchat, TikTok, Twitch, YouTube, Meta, Pinterest, major channels and micro and macro influencers.
Handling all ad hoc requests from superiors
Work closely with the Senior Product Manager and the other team members, especially the Marketing Department and stakeholders. Ensure regular reports are available on each title to share internally and with HO.
Attending inspiring kick-off brainstorming sessions for each film.
Develop and nurture strong relationships with various media outlets, getting the required results.
Assisting in organizing publicity events (premieres and junkets).
Direct contact with HO on press materials, screening strategies, and reporting on publicity campaigns (screening overviews, review reports, trailer launch reports, etc.)
Assisting in negotiations for the publicity needs.
Communicate and work with production companies during the campaign for local releases.
Ensure that all communication going out is within the strategy and guidelines of all three studios.
Seek new and different approaches and ideas to bring freshness to each film within strategy.
Assisting in setting up influencer campaigns and events.
Must have skills/qualifications
Educated to degree level (HBO), preferably a degree related to Marketing, Media or similar.
2-3 years of work experience in a similar role within an international setting, ideally within the Film/Media industry.
Demonstrated track record of success in executing Dutch theatrical campaigns.
Familiarity with the Dutch Cinema landscape.
Broad marketing knowledge, encompassing media, publicity, and promotions.
Demonstrated excellent writing and verbal communication skills, with fluency in both Dutch and English.
Affinity for trends and developments within social media and influencer marketing.
