Position Purpose: The Propulsion Systems Engineer II will be working ina team environment, with frequent opportunities for customer engagement,new business development, concept design, mission formulation, systemanalysis, and detailed design, analysis, integration, and test, pluson-orbit operations support.

Job Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain spacecraft delta-v and/or propellant budgets, givenmission-level requirementsCreate/confirm propulsion subsystem designsDevelop and manage propulsion subsystem and component requirements andverification techniquesDevelop tools for propulsion subsystem performance analysesOversee propulsion component and/or subsystem development, design,qualification, and verification effortsDevelop interface specifications, CONOPS definition, subsystem descriptiondocuments, and other design documents related to propulsion subsystemsAuthor and manage propulsion hardware vendor specifications, requests forinformation, and statements of workAssist with customer meetings and facilitate technical exchanges withcustomers and vendorsAssist with proposals and facilitate technical exchanges with the engineeringteamManage subcontract vendors to ensure high quality and timely product deliverySupport program design reviewsCollaborate closely with technical program leads across diverse domainexpertiseSupport the allocation of driving requirements (both cost and technical)Support key trades (both cost and technical)Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications/Education:
2+ years of relevant experienceBachelor s degree in Engineering, Science discipline, or equivalentExperience with all phases of the program life-cycle (businessdevelopment, mission formulation, requirements flow-down,manufacturing, integration and test, and on-orbit operations)System design experience, balancing performance, cost, power, emergingtechnologies, etc.Ability to perform trade studies and parametric analysesAbility to develop procurement documents (specification, SOW) and managesubcontractsGood documentation and communication skills
Ability to work rapidly with some supervision on projects involving both smalland large engineering teamsExperience and skills in project definition, simulation, implementation,lab integration and testMust be able to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment withemphasis in rapid prototyping and fielding of capabilitiesRelated technical experience may be considered in lieu of education
Working Conditions:This job operates in a professional office environment, but in amanufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such ascomputers, phones, photo opiers, scanners, filing cabinets and faxmachines.
