Itron is dedicated to creating a more resourceful world.The Solutions Delivery Specialist is part of the Professional Services Delivery team, which is responsible for creating Itron's successful responses to business proposals in the Americas.The Solutions Delivery Specialist is responsible for developing professional services resource estimates and cost models, which are used to generate quotations for Itron customers. The Solution Delivery Specialist manages cost/price deliverables from cross-functional Pursuit Teams including Itron experts in various fields to produce comprehensive quotations for simple and complex opportunities. This role includes interaction with every part of Itron including Subject Matter Experts (SME), Delivery, Business Development, Product Business Units, Legal, and Finance.Duties & Responsibilities:Create and submit Professional Services cost models which are direct inputs to quotes to Itron customers. These include responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).Collaborate with a Pursuit Team made up of personnel from Sales, Product Management, Services, Legal, external 3rd party vendors, and other departments.Create cost models for services and training, detailing price, cost, and gross margin. Day-to-day engagement with the Services Delivery and other teams, to fully understand an opportunity's requirements and Itron's proposed response.Incorporate complex tools such as the Salesforce/Conga pricing system, detailed Excel templates and calculators, and customer- or opportunity-specific pricing templates.Gain and maintain an understanding of current Itron Solutions to complete and be able to interpret comprehensive quotation requests from Sales and Delivery team.Ensure the application of relevant financial parameters and terms (escalation models, rate cards, currency exchange rates, etc.) in context of the commercial deal model.Regularly attend and sometimes organize team meetings, document follow-up activities, and coordinate and report on action items.Lead the services pricing response to RFPs that are complex and require multiple pricing scenarios, facilitating collaborative workstreams as required.Adapt, refine, and/or develop templates, work structure, and frameworks to continuously improve output efficiency and scale.Contribute to process improvement initiatives.In addition to contributing cost models to large, cross-functional pursuit team efforts, lead and coordinate costing, scoping, and other response preparation for straightforward, well-defined solution proposals.Skills & Experience:General business background with good technical understanding.BA degree, or 4+ years of experience in sales or bid management, ideally in the Utility, Energy, Technology, or Federal/Defense spaces.Analytical skills to assess, debug, and improve pricing/costing tools.Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including proficiency creating compelling, professional materials for internal and customer consumption.Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, participating in group discussions, making, and honoring commitments for actions and deliverables, and holding others accountable for the same, while maintaining professional and amicable relationships.Previous experience with Microso
