  We are looking for a Project Manager who has worked with Enterprise Level Information Technology before to support our various projects, including software and application implementations and upgrades. We are open to hiring this at either a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager level, depending on the applicant's experience and expertise. You will perform cross-functional, enterprise-level project management that is focused on working with clients in a clinical environment using Epic software. This employee is responsible for the development and implementation of project management activities in support of the Central IT Chief Information Office (CIO) and Chief Medical Information Office (CMIO). Utilizes extensive project management skills to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely delivery and implementation of project deliverables while meeting stakeholder requirements and effectively managing project scope. Works under the guidance of a Central IT Project management Office

  This is a Hybrid role requiring employees to come on-site and work from home during the week. There will be times when an employee may need to come in for launches or specific meetings. Currently, UTHealth Houston requires that employees either reside in the State of Texas or relocate to Texas within three months of accepting a role. We can not hire remote or out-of-state workers for this position.   Position Key Accountabilities:

  Manage multiple complex projects while maintaining consistency and effectiveness of project deliverables. Manage technology and business process improvement projects and contracts. Develop effective plans and meet deadlines. Obtains and maintains a clear understanding of all appropriate legal and contractual matters related to projects.

  Ensures project initiation is well defined, including a detailed review of customer expectations, business drivers, requirements, design, SLAs, and success metrics. Keeps projects on track while managing risks and controlling quality.

  Provide effective leadership, guidance, and critical communications to project team(s) as appropriate while promoting and contributing to a cohesive team environment. Monitors performance of project team resources. Makes recommendations for and/or facilitates problem resolution where appropriate.

  Works with management, vendors, customers, and IT staff to coordinate, plan, assign, and review project plans and deliverables, as well as contracts and work products.

  Initiates internal, enterprise-level projects as requested, obtains authorization and commitment, and ensures that projects demonstrate business need and feasibility.

  Analyze established project management procedures for continual improvement. Facilitates and/or makes recommendations for improvements as appropriate.

  Prepare comprehensive and accurate schedules and reports. Perform evaluation, interpretation, and effective presentations of pertinent data to various groups.

  Other duties as assigned.

  Certification/Skills:

  Preferred: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute (PMI)

  Minimum Education:

  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related discipline or related experience in lieu of education.

  Minimum Experience:

  Five years of IT and team management experience is required, including oversight of technology or business improvement projects and management experience.

  Physical Requirements:

  Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or up to a negligible amount constantly to move objects.

  Security Sensitive:

  This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215

  Residency Requirement:

  Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
