Job Summary
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, andreporting on projects and assignments related to medical schoolcurriculum renewal in collaboration with members of the executivecurriculum renewal committee, the leadership of the units within themedical school, and other stakeholders across the medical school,Biological Sciences Division, UChicago Medicine, and the University.This role will need to coordinate with leadership to navigate the teamthrough curriculum renewal life cycle, continuous quality improvementefforts, and relevant accreditation tasks as they relate to the legacyand novel curricula.
Responsibilities
Timeline, Goal, and Resource Management
Plans, manages, and reports on projects and assignments related tomedical school curriculum renewal in collaboration with members ofthe executive curriculum renewal committee, medical schoolleadership, and other stakeholders.Coordinates with leadership to navigate the team through curriculumrenewal life cycle, continuous quality improvement efforts, andrelevant accreditation (LCME) tasks as they relate to the legacy andnovel curricula.Utilizes project management software to develop timelines, delegateresponsibilities, and monitor progress toward short- and long-termgoals based on the leadership team\'s agenda.Defines project milestones, establishes timelines, monitors, andtracks project progress, and escalates risks and issues as needed.Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation includingdetailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans,and status reports.Stakeholder Management
Manages relationships with stakeholder groups (e.g.,curriculum-building working groups) and facilitates cross-groupcommunication and collaboration when needed.Coordinates, attends, documents, and manages action items fromworking group meetings and other appropriate meetings.Develops and collaborates with relevant employees to execute theplan for simultaneous administration of new curriculum andsunsetting of legacy curriculum over several years.Delegates tasks to administrative support team members asappropriate.Communications
Regularly updates project principals on progress, including areas ofpotential concern.Manage the Pritzker EVOLVES curriculum renewal website.Draft communications (e.g., website updates, email updates) to relayinformation to different groups of stakeholders (e.g., core faculty,broader faculty/department chairs, students, staff).Creates graphs, figures, tables, and charts as needed for internaland external presentations, communications, and/or reports.Works somewhat independently to develop detailed work plans,schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.Assembles and leads a project team, assigns individualresponsibilities, identifies appropriate resources needed, anddevelops schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.Is responsible for tracking progress, conducting analysis, as wellas preparing for and facilitating project meetings.Acts as a resource for a project team and provides analyticalguidance. Interprets complex project issues and provides analyticalguidance to a project team.Performs other related work as needed.Minimum Qualifications

Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in relatedfield.
