We are looking for you as Project Manager (f/m/d) to handle, control and also monitor customer-specific large-scale projects in the Grid and Power Quality Solutions area.
The Grid and Power Quality Solutions area supplies utilities with turnkey gas and air insulated switchgear systems (GIS and AIS).
Other key system projects in this area include flexible alternating current transmission systems (FACTS) and the supply of electrical equipment for offshore power transmission platforms.
You will be responsible for tracking and controlling project progress as well as leading an interdisciplinary project team. In doing so, you will ensure a constant exchange with the customer and internal stakeholders.
This requires engineering know-how in electrical engineering, a systematic working style as well as strong teamwork and communication skills.

Your responsibilities
Management of major national and international projects, for example for the areas of AC transmission systems (FACTS), switchgear (AIS / GIS) or offshore Leading and motivating a project team, distributing tasks within the team taking into account customer specifications and Hitachi Energy PoliciesClose cooperation and coordination with internal and external stakeholders in your role as key contact person in the projectTrack and control project progress using Hitachi Energy Policies and "best practices" to ensure on-time and on-contract completion of customer projectsMonitor and control project financing, overseeing the status of billing, costs, cash flows and other performance metricsIn-depth contract review and technical contract clarification - with sales and engineering supportOpportunities - risk management and claim management with respect to contract and process-related disruptive eventsExecution of efficient staff schedulingEnsure all projects are executed and completed in compliance with health, safety and environmental guidelinesInitiate sustainable process improvements
Your background
Successful degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or comparable (Master / Dipl.)At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in project management or project execution as well as technical leadership of international project teamsProfound knowledge of switchgear (AIS / GIS), AC transmission systems (FACTS) and / or offshoreAdvanced knowledge in MS Project and SAPCertification / advanced training as Senior Project Manager / PMP advantageousPrimavera knowledge is an advantageVery good communication skills, strong customer orientation as well as structured working style and ability to work in a teamIntercultural competence and consistent pursuit of set goals as well as assertivenessFluent in written and spoken English and GermanWillingness to travel on business of approx. 20%
