Summary:
The Vivint Technology (VT) Project Manager for Customer Excellence (CX) partners with CX stakeholders, VT product managers, and VT engineers to lead major programs supporting the CX functional area.
VT Project Managers are responsible for managing projects through the full project life cycle including planning, prioritizing, scoping, requirements elicitation, resourcing, development, testing, and deployment. The VT Project Manager interfaces with individual contributors through director-level resources but will interact with all levels of technology and business leadership.
The ideal candidate is someone who has demonstrated success as a project manager in technology, is passionate about working with our business partners and engineers and improving our processes and tools, and is highly organized, motivated, and creative. An understanding of customer experience is a plus.

What you’ll do
Drive relevant project management deliverables and facilitate effective user/customer conversations
Transform requirements into feature specs /user stories
Establish story acceptance criteria for the engineering team
Actively address ambiguity and change in the product backlog
Drive backlog grooming, and sprint planning sessions with business and engineering teams
Organize sprints, scrum meetings, and delivery timelines.
Facilitate effective meetings with the engineering teams
Primary Responsibilities:
Work closely with CX business partners, designers, engineers, and quality assurance to ensure delivery against CX backlog and roadmap
Identify risks, issues, and problems and escalate as appropriate, proposing mitigation plans to overcome obstacles
Identify opportunities for usability testing and drive execution, measuring and reporting results
Build and maintain relationships across organizations, with teams, and with individuals
Required Skills, Experience & Education:
Strong meeting facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to communicate across levels of the organization and departments in writing, orally, and interpersonally
Effective problem-solving and analytical skills
Proven ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage priorities
Effective planning and execution skills – the ability to define and articulate a strong vision, create an actionable roadmap, and drive the team to execute
Preferred Skills, Experience & Education:
Experience using Smartsheets or other project management software
Experience with Jira
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
What you need to succeed:
Prior technical program management experience
Effective communication with customers and remote team members is mandatory
The ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
Articulate in documenting product requirements, writing functional specs and user stories
Adept at problem-solving and driving the team toward solutions
Ability to present convincingly to leaders, partners, and users/customers
Show deep commitment to and empathy for the customer – design-thinking skills a plus
Open-minded, positive attitude, and enjoy working in a fun, high-energy, and fast-paced environment
Ability to craft clear, compelling recommendations supported by strong analysis and business logic, and articulate them to the organization to gain support for recommendations
Ability to manage issue resolution and mitigate risk on the product roadmap
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and agile development methodologies
Experience in technology evaluations and proof-of-concept executions

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
