Description:
Looking for a project manager/engineer (APM) to oversee contracts, claims, and cost reporting/management for water intake modification project, dredging project and other potential construction projects i.e. new proposed bridge etc. located at the Desalination plant project site in Carlsbad. Must have a contracts background with a very diverse skillset with the ability to touch any element of a project. Candidate must have highly proficient math skills and analytical ability.
Responsible for contracts, claims, cost reporting and management
Rebidding Subs
First project of focus is lagoon dredging project - will manage all aspects, make recommendations and educate team
Will be working independently and autonomously on projects
Candidate will bring new ideas and solutions they have developed
Skills:
Construction, Wastewater, Contract Management, Claims, Construction Management, RFI, Change Order
Qualifications:
Field experience with a commercial focus
Contracts (sub and prime contract management)
Claims (digging into contracts to establish entitlement positions for schedule/cost recovery), work with attorney
Cost reporting and management (very comfortable in a spreadsheet)
Independent (candidate can be thrown complex issues and they will figure out solutions, come back to educate and bring in new ideas & solutions)
