Position Specific Description
EverBright is driving the clean energy revolution through its industry-leading residential solar software platform and financing program. Every day, EverBright supports hundreds of solar companies across the US, ensuring they have the tools to be successful and accelerate consumer adoption of clean energy. EverBright has an ambitious vision to enable the decarbonization of the home through VPPs and new product offerings, and we're seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Finance team as Project Director Development. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our monthly forecasting and reporting process. A successful candidate will have a strong background in financial planning and analysis, and exceptional communication abilities to effectively communicate results and report back to management and corporate stakeholders.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage the company's financial forecasting process, including the preparation of accurate and timely forecasts.
• Conduct detailed monthly variance analysis comparing actual results to budgeted and forecasted figures. Identify areas of improvement, trends, and potential risks.
• Prepare and present accurate and insightful financial reports (MOPR) to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas of improvement.
• Effectively communicate financial results, forecasts, and analysis to management and corporate stakeholders. Reporting feedback and results to facilitate decision-making.
• Continuously review and enhance existing financial processes, systems, and tools to streamline operations and enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, accounting, and executive leadership, to drive effective decision-making and provide financial insights for strategic initiatives.
• Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities, develop mitigation strategies, and provide recommendations to senior management for risk management initiatives.
• Ad-hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested, providing actionable insights to support business decisions.
Qualifications :
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a management role.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to various stakeholders.
• Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to distill financial concepts into clear and concise messages.
• Proficiency in financial planning and analysis software and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Previous experience in the energy industry or a similar field is a plus.
Job Overview
Employees in this role develop and execute plans for new or enhanced generation projects. This job is responsible for resource allocation, schedules, cost and technical adequacy, ensuring the project or transaction is completed in the most cost effective and competitive manner. This position manages all aspects of the business deal and ensures the project is completed on time and within budgetary constraints.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Manages all aspects of the day to day transaction process to ensure timely completion as well as a cost effective and competitive results
Leads and coordinates key functions such as financial feasibility analyses, engineering/design, project legal review, permitting activities and financial negotiations
Coordinates due diligence activities with other internal groups to ensure proper analysis and structuring of assigned projects
Acts as liaison between internal and external specialists regarding procurement, contracting, permitting and interconnection
Constructs contractual arrangements for project development
Negotiates agreements with consultants and subcontractors
Ensures compliance with applicable technical and regulatory requirements
Fosters external relationships with customers, third parties and members of the community
Identifies opportunities and negotiates power sales contracts
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
