Project Coordinator; Essential job functions (60%) Oversee planning and implementation of partnership project with the Minnesota Department of Education to develop information and training for school districts and families in order to increase graduation rates of American Indian students with disabilities. Establish collaborative partnerships with partnering school districts, parent groups, and organizations that serve parents and families of American Indian students with disabilities. Develop resources and training curricula for parents and families of American Indian students with disabilities, as well as educators. Present training curricula to parents and professionals. Participate in school outreach and engagement activities for parents and families of American Indian students with disabilities. Collect and manage program data and write project reports. Other activities as required. Parent Advocate; Essential job functions (40%) Provide in-person, telephone, and e-mail assistance (information and guidance) to parents regarding special education procedures for school-age children with disabilities. Develop and present trainings online and in communities throughout the state for parents of school-age children with disabilities and professionals. Assist in public informational and educational activities by providing presentations to various organizations and professional groups. Other activities as required.
