Reference #: oeALnfwG_ef841ed459DescriptionReporting to the Director of Project Accounting, the Project Accountant is primarily responsible for overseeing the financial activity on select construction projects. The Project Accountant works with the project management team to establish expectations and due dates for monthly requisitions, subcontractor progress payments, status reports, project review meetings and any other project requirements.The Project Accountant's duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Project Start Up - work with Estimating and Project Management to establish budget for Job Costing and Job Billing requirementsReview and post subcontractsCreate Subcontractor change ordersNotify the Project Executive and Officer in Charge of any irregularitiesReview and enter subcontractor billings and invoices as neededAssist Project Management with Change Management System which includes potential change items, change order request, and Owner Change Orders.Prepare monthly client requisitionsAttend "Pencil Pay" requisition meetings, revise requisition as requiredEnter monthly salesWork with the Project Manager to update and balance cost reports for the Monthly Status Report, Project Review or other meetingsTrack allowances and contingency reservesPrepare monthly cost reconciliations per projectEnsure compliance with state and local tax requirementsParticipate in any client audits or subcontractor auditsAssist with close-out proceduresWork with the Project Manager to develop and maintain the General Conditions LogProvide on-site cost control training to new personnelAssist with special projects and requestsAssist with Project Management in establishing subcontractor wage ratesQualifications & Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field3-5+ years experience in project accounting for commercial general contractorProficiency in Excel requiredExperience with CMIC, Bluebeam, Textura, E-builder preferredThis description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice.LF Driscoll is an equal opportunity employer.
