Summary This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Science and Technology Directorate, Office of Innovation and Collaboration. The primary purpose of this position is to develop multi-disciplinary, customer-driven, homeland security science and technology solutions and help train the next generation of homeland security experts. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Specialized Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level (starting salary $132,368) if you possess one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing duties such as: - Providing technical leadership and direction in specific research areas of intelligence collection, operations research, data analytics, human and behavioral sciences, sensor and sensor systems, and modeling. - Planning, coordinating and evaluating solicitations for grants and contracts for research projects in support of the mission. - Developing and implementing plans consistent with financial resources and requirements for procurement. You qualify for the GS-15 grade level (starting salary $155,700) if you possess one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level in the Federal government, or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing duties such as: - Providing technical leadership and direction in specific research areas of intelligence collection, operations research, data analytics, human and behavioral sciences, sensor and sensor systems, and modeling - Planning, coordinating and evaluating solicitations for grants and contracts for research projects in support of the mission. - Developing and implementing plans consistent with financial resources and requirements for procurement.
