JOB REQUIREMENTS: Program Assistant, Arrupe Center for Community Serviceand Social Responsibility This individual will support the 414 FellowsAmeriCorps Program and the Arrupe Center for Community Service andSocial Responsibility in the Office of Student Development by supportingday-to-day operations and administrative tasks, grant compliance,service programming, fellow recruitment, communications, event logisticsand being a welcoming presence in the center. will serve as part of apassionate team with other student affairs professionals to furtherintegrate the University mission, especially as it relates to ourservice pillar and supporting student development through service andsocial justice. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Assist with grantcompliance activities related to supporting and supervising the 414Fellows AmeriCorps program, including managing onboarding procedures,timesheets, member files, evaluations, program reports and NationalService Criminal History Checks. Keep up to date with current guidanceand compliance expectations of AmeriCorps and Serve Wisconsin, includingannual trainings. 2. Support staff by assisting with day-to-dayoperations, communications, marketing materials, correspondence,scheduling meetings, and maintaining files. 3. Assist with studentservice reflections, relationship building, and social justice programsand other service events related to the 414 Fellows grant and mission ofthe Arrupe Center. 4. Support alumni outreach, network building,community partnerships and recruitment and selection of 414 fellows. 5.Co-manage Community Service van fleet for the 414 Fellows program,including scheduling van use, administrating the background checks andtraining modules for drivers, maintaining roster of eligible drivers,attending to maintenance needs, communicating regularly with MUPD, andsupervising student Van Assistant. 6. Performs all other duties andresponsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. *****OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Required Knowledge, Skills andAbilities High school diploma required. Detailed-orientated, highlyorganized, and ability to meet requirements, deadlines, and grantcompliance standards. Possess strong oral and written communication andfacilitation skills. Skills to navigate and use the Microsoft platform,website updates and ease of navigating new web based management systems.Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to community service,social justice, and ability to work collaboratively with people ofdifferent backgrounds, perceptions, and experiences. Availability towork some nights and weekends when needed to ensure student experience.National Service Criminal History Checks required prior to employmentdue to grant compliance. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesBachelor\'s degree preferred. At least one year of equivalent experiencepreferred.
