The ideal candidate will have at least five years' experience. You will be expected to immediately impact our firm as we seek the best methods to serve our clients. You must exhibit a professional attitude, analytical problem solving and a willingness to collaborate while having the ability to work independently.PROFESSIONAL SURVEYOR MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Use Civil 3D and Bentley OpenRoads Designer to design and produce drawings.* Conduct research and resolve boundaries and right-of-ways.* Complete CAD drawing packages in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.* Prepare surveyor's reports, legal descriptions, closure calculations and other documentation as required.* Attend internal meetings and provide status updates of project milestones to the project managers and potential clients.* Maintain a strong working knowledge of the client's standards.* Able to adapt to quickly changing priorities and conditions.PROFESSIONAL SURVEYOR MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency.* Ability to react quickly and calmly to high-pressure situations.* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team settings.* Minimal regional travel possible.* Other duties as assigned.PROFESSIONAL SURVEYOR QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:* 5+ years of relevant experience using CAD/Civil 3D or Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD) required* Bachelor's degree in land surveying or civil engineering required* SI required; PS preferred* Experience with ODOT survey and right-of-way standards preferredPROFESSIONAL SURVEYOR KEY COMPETENCIES:* Analytical problem solving* Continuous learning* Interpersonal communication* Professional attitude* CollaborationLJB offers competitive compensation packages, which includes paid time off, a 401(k)/profit sharing plan, tuition reimbursement, flexibility, and mobility.
