Responsibilities:
Provides leadership and training to accomplish production objectivesto all employees for Safety, Quality, Production, Packaging, andMaintenance.Coordinates production activities with other departments to ensureproduction goals/objectives are accomplished in a timely andcost-effective manner.Works with operations team to ensure vacancies are covered for anyplanned/unplanned.Establishes and monitors shift performance for safety, quality, andproduction standards.Enters production data accurately into system in order to measureand monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) around efficiencies,downtime, inventory and overall production.Updates communication boards to keep production floor team membersinformed about safety, quality and efficiency metrics. Leadsemployee start-up meetingsWorks with other team members to control and improve efficiencies,minimize labor overtime, downtime and repair expenses. Implementscost-effective systems around this as necessary.Promotes shop floor organization, plant house-keeping with employeeslean utilizing techniques such as 5S with shift personnel.Acts as first point of contact for operators regarding mechanicalfailure or production issues; Directs maintenance employees totroubleshoot mechanical problems and perform preventativemaintenance.May conduct tool store inventory reviews to ensure proper toolsand/or parts are available for use in the event they are needed.Prepares and reviews employees\' worked hours for submission topayroll.Requirements:
Minimum of a High School diploma or GED.A bachelor degree in engineering or operations management preferred3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment oran equivalent combination of education and experienceSix Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification a plusPrevious Labor Relations experiencePrevious experience working in a Lean environment; Embracescontinuous improvementSelf-directed team playerExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving skillsFlexibility to work multiple shiftsCompetencies:
