In addition, this role will interact with employees at all levels of the organization, internal and external customers, and outside contacts. Supervisory responsibilities include, but is not limited to, training and developing subordinates, delegating work assignments, writing, and conducting performance appraisals, coaching, and counseling employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.Functions and ResponsibilitiesSupervise and direct work activity of team members in assigned area. Effectively grows future key employees and leaders. Distribute workload appropriately. Motivate and empower team members. Develop team members including, but not limited to, creating and executing individual development plans. Train and mentor team members in root cause analysis and PDCA.Work with team members to identify continuous improvement opportunities. Continually identify and eliminate waste in assigned departments. Champion Lean Kaizen events to identify cost and time savings. Perform root cause analysis. Participate in cost-reduction programs. Coordinate new product launches with Engineering.Develop and deploy standardized work instructions of assigned department(s). Ensure process stability through following standardized work. Conduct improvement events in department, resulting in measurable improvements in unit time and part flow.
