Production Planner

Responsibilities:

On a day to day: run production planning process for assigned product lines.

Plan and schedule products through manufacturing based on approved production plan.

Recommend adjustments in production plan as necessary.

Assist with managing inventory by monitoring parts usage, establishing and ensuring appropriate minimum stocking levels are maintained in order to handle warranty requests, service related requests, and sales requests and expediting manufactured and assembled components as necessary.

Responsible for acknowledging customer orders to order admin and keeping key functional groups appraised of available to promise status.

Requirements:

College degree in related field (Math, Business, Manufacturing Systems) AND minimum of 4 years experience in Production Planning.

Thorough understanding of Production Planning and MRP systems including understanding of production control concepts and practices (i.e. understanding of various planning parameters, consequences of changing manufacturing schedules (work orders), shop floor dispatch, and recommending changes to work orders and BOMs etc.).

Ability to work in an environment with rapidly changing priorities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and oral as well as negotiation skills are required.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills and excellent attention to details.

Pay: 70k - 80k
