Description:

　　The Production Chemist is responsible for completing tasks and assignments in accordance with established processes and methodologies, synthesize peptides, intermediates and perform processing from initial stage through purification and lyophilization to obtain the final product.

　　Checks reactor system for proper operation in accordance with SOP and/or operation manual

　　Under general supervision and direction, measures and mixes ingredients according to the BPR (Batch Production Record).

　　During processing, monitors chemical reactions (color and completeness of chemical reactions) and under general direction of supervision and/or Production Chemist personnel responds with appropriate actions to ensure proper processing.

　　Using established procedures (safety and process) and under general supervision, performs intermediate chemical processing steps.

　　Prepares sample solutions and buffers for purification.

　　Under general supervision, purifies peptides by using preparative HPLC’s.

　　Conducts lyophilization process according to established guidelines.

　　Performs drying processes in accordance with established processes and procedures.

　　Reports any problems or issues regarding equipment used in processing to supervision and/or Production Chemist personnel.

　　Performs in-process checking of the fractions by using analytical HPLC and reports results to supervision and/or Sr. Production Chemist personnel.

　　Is responsible for maintaining high safety

　　Additional Skills & Qualifications:

　　HPLC (1 yr industry experience)

　　Chemistry and chemical reactions.

　　Safe handling of caustic and/or toxic chemicals.

　　The proper operation of applicable machinery and equipment (troubleshooting referred to PC or supervisory personnel).

　　Working knowledge and understanding of basic math.

　　The proper use of personnel protective equipment (PPE).

　　This position requires a minimum Bachelor-level degree in Chemistry(preferred), Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering
