JOB SUMMARY: AMPIis immediately hiring for General Labor. The primary role of GeneralLabor in Cheese is to assemble cheese carts, monitor filling and sealcheese boxes, and put the pallets in cooler at or above production andquality standards while maintaining a safe, clean work environment. Theprimary role of General Labor in Whey is to fill powder bags, maintainquality and stack pallets. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Assemble cartsand place cheesecloth and liners into boxes. Thoroughly rinse carts andpans in order to remove any soil/debris prior being placed in the bottomwasher. Clean and sanitize and all carts and pans. Inspect and re-cleanand sanitize if any soil or debris is located. Load and unload carts invacuum chamber and vacuum for allotted time. Seal carts. Inspect, weigh,and tag carts. Maintain good housekeeping and cleanup of equipment,supplies in bagging and work areas throughout the plant. Maintain properdocumentation in all formats of recordkeeping. Assists with training newemployees. Provides assistance to the maintenance personnel, whenneeded, for machine repairs or troubleshooting. Document and communicateproduction deficiencies to management. Report and communicate criticalinformation during shift change overs. Continuously look for processimprovement opportunities and effectively communicate to others. Adhereto all Quality and Food Safety policies and procedures, reporting anynonconformity. Adhere to all Safety policies and procedures, reportingany nonconformity. Adhere to all GMP policies and procedures, reportingany nonconformity. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: HighSchool Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. Foodmanufacturing, material handling and forklift operation experiencepreferred. Must be able to maintain a valid forklift operator license.Prior experience in the dairy or cheese industry is preferred. Priorexperience in manufacturing is a plus.
