  About the job

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google's functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

The Business Operations team within the Strategy and Operations organization empowers the business to grow and optimize by driving structured processes, business performance, and operational excellence to help Privacy, Safety and Security (PSS) keep everyone safe at scale.

In this role, you will drive the operating model for a cross-Google product and engineering business. You will contribute towards helping PSS run efficiently and effectively through data insights and analytics to power effective decision making. You will provide direct global extended workforce management services and help lead a shared operational service to reduce toil, manual efforts, and costs of employees across PSS and other product areas. You will also provide program management across PSS and Google on work related to privacy and security reviews, business process optimization, and vendor management.

Google is an engineering company at heart. We hire people with a broad set of technical skills who are ready to take on some of technology's greatest challenges and make an impact on users around the world. At Google, engineers not only revolutionize search, they routinely work on scalability and storage solutions, large-scale applications and entirely new platforms for developers around the world. From Google Ads to Chrome, Android to YouTube, social to local, Google engineers are changing the world one technological achievement after another.

  Responsibilities

Identify and implement operational efficiencies (e.g., manage utilization, eliminate non-productive activities, cross-site synergies, cross-operations synergies, reduce sub-scale operations via service consolidation, automation, deprecation). Contribute to developing program roadmap, establishing program goals, coordinating resources to achieve long-term goals with direction from leadership where needed. Develop and implement data-driven solutions to business problems. Own strategic programs such as ROI analytics and execution in partnership with vendors. Provide data-based insights that support decision making and help define, land, and execute on our key strategic priorities for the PSS organization. Collect and clean data from a variety of sources, including but not limited to financial data, product data, industry data, ROI measurement, portfolio analysis.
