About the role
The PMM Manager for ACaaS is an exciting new role at Sage at the cutting edge of how we win and disrupt the small business market.
The PMM Manager for ACaaS at Sage is a key position that combines both future proposition development and GTM execution, with significant influence and accountability. Directly reporting to the Head of PMM for Sage for Small Business, this leader has responsibility for delivering all Product Marketing (PMM) strategy, activities and outcomes for ACaaS across all regions. They will work with existing strategic partners like Tide, as well as define the market opportunity and proposition for ACaaS, by demonstrating a deep understanding of the market for embedded accounting, and target partners in banking, platforms and other routes to market.
The single, critical aspect of this role is developing a deep understanding of the market opportunity for embedded accounting across key regions, and leveraging these insights to define the global growth strategy, the commercial model and the value proposition for ACaaS. Stakeholder management and the ability to drive new and disruptive GTMs, commercial models and launch plans through enterprise-scale partners to capture new and emerging small businesses are key responsibilities that this individual will be accountable for. Collaboration is also at the heart of this individual’s responsibilities, as the role requires collaboration across functions and crafts to build a GTM strategy and execute on the plan across our target markets and regions. Together with the Product, Partner and GTM teams, this role architects a detailed, robust and dynamic growth plan that clearly articulates how our long term strategy as well as near term commercial goals will be achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
• Bring together customer, competitor and market insights to define where and how Sage can win with ACaaS
• Identify priority segments to capture earlier/younger small businesses, including target partners across key regions
• Define the product boundaries for ACaaS and services required to achieve product:market fit
• Work with accountants to maximise the market opportunity for ACaaS and deliver GTM to Accountants
• Create refreshed ACaaS proposition and assets, leveraging Tide success to support ACaaS GTM
• Define commercial model and monetisation strategy for ACaaS, partnering with Pricing and Sage Network teams
• Develop brand strategy for ACaaS in collaboration with Brand and Product teams
• Drive commercial ambition for ACaaS to achieve 5m+ participants in the Sage Network over the next number of years
• Own the Growth Plan for ACaaS (what propositions, to which parts of the market, how, when) that achieves our commercial ambitions and aligns to our global growth strategy
• Manage and monitor the commercial performance of ACaaS, ensuring delivery of ARR and other commercial goals
• Evangelise the strategy for ACaaS both internally and externally, acting as a thought leader and visionary for the proposition with colleagues, partners and other key stakeholders
• Embed ACaaS a growth proposition in the business and build the future proposition as well as execute the GTM
• Partner with Tide to ensure the Tide GTM is successful and leverage partnership to accelerate growth and global expansion
