Meta Horizon brings people together around shared activities. It’s a collection of fun and rewarding games and experiences (“Worlds”) plus the platform and tools to create them. Our titles are social first – offering shared activities to help people build new friendships, hang out together, and play together. Horizon also provides a set of services that enhance these experiences (identity, inventory, travel, multiplayer coordination, media sharing, etc), providing consistency, continuity, and co-presence for the metaverse on Meta Quest headsets and smart phones.As a Product Manager for the Horizon Creation Platform focused on scripting capabilities, you will lead a team of engineers and designers to build the capabilities, features, and workflows required for tens of thousands of creators to build the hangout spaces and 3D games that make up the metaverse. What common scripting jobs need to be well-supported and efficient for game devs? What common games coding patterns do we need to support? How can we make scripts fast and reliable for key operations? What IDEs, source control, and team development workflows should we prioritize and improve? And how should we optimize our scripting model alongside GenAI, canned assets with included scripts, and low-code development options to grow our creator base and support larger audiences with high interest but less game dev experience? To invent and prioritize the best new features, you’ll partner closely with product and game designers, technical artists, data scientists, game studios, community managers, and solo creators in our Meta Horizon Creators Program. In a typical month you will roll out new features, set or adjust strategy, goals, and milestone plans, work closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements and features, and align staffing with the most important problems to be solved (design, data science, technical art, legal, etc).

Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years of professional experience as a Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, Data Scientist, Game Designer, Producer, or Engineer working on games, 3D social applications, or tools for the games industry

Experience driving two or more software releases and learning from the release metrics

Experience creating and implementing multi-year strategies for products, tools, or platforms

Has experience building game engines, games, or 3D art

Programming experience

A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or related field

$171,000/year to $238,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
