Description:
-Responsible for design-for-manufacturing (DFM)
-helps customer to suggest changes to designs that will allow for efficient and cost-effective production
-ensures the product being quoted is manufacturable and communicates design flaws or concerns to the customer to win projects and protect customer liability
-customer facing interaction to understand the requirements of each project
-develop manufacturing processes and procedures to meet those requirements
-GD&T
-read blueprints
-Solidworks
-understand standard Quality inspection procedures
-machine shop best practices
Skills:
gd&t, design for manufacturing, solidworks, cad/cam, change order, mrp
Qualifications:
-manufacturing routings
-read Statement of Work and identify what's missing
-CAD/CAM
