Responsibilities: Performs a variety ofmechanical and electrical assembly operations to assemble intricate orlarge and expensive equipment, subassemblies involving a considerablenumber of parts, or units involving less precise requirements and parts.Has demonstrated proficiency in assembling the identified products onthe Department Training Matrix per established Work Instructions,quality standards, or equivalent and continues to learn more asidentified. Does fitting, aligning and adjustments to insure properflow, layout and free action of movable parts and operatingrequirements. Products are standardized and/or methods prescribed.Capable of basic wiring and tubing. Uses a wide variety of assembly andtest fixtures, and hand and power tools; recognizes defective parts;does unit testing as directed. Works from complicated assembly drawingsand EWDs with guidance on major products, specifications, layouts, andstandard operating procedures or methods. Work subject to finalinspection, check and test. Performs cutting, layout, brazing, tubebending and threading. May be assigned to provide guidance and checkwork of Assemblers of lower classification and Production Assistants.Observes all company safety rules. During production hours, usesassigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. Involves heavylifting, up to 50 pounds. Operates cranes or forklifts (as certified) tomove larger/heavier items. Does other work as supervisor may require.Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent experience. Minimumone year of assembly experience with Sentry or similar products.Aptitude and/or interest in mechanical skills, and ability to learntechnical aspects of Sentry products. Ability to function effectively asa team member. Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office and ERPprogram. Detail oriented; attention to detail; accuracy. Ability tobend, reach, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to readblueprints, use various measuring devices, and follow Work Instructions.Skill with mechanical and electrical assembly techniques. Ability tooperate overhead crane...
