Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the procurement and sourcing for IT solutions and services across North America. This includes sourcing potential vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products and services to support requirements within a Global organization.
Primary responsibilities for role:
Vendor Management:
Identify and evaluate potential vendors for IT solutions and services
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery
Negotiate contracts and terms to secure favorable agreements
Sourcing and Cost Analysis:
Conduct market research to identify cost-effective solutions while maintaining high quality
Analyze pricing proposals, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with budgetary constraints
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and recommend suitable IT solutions
Contract Management:
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for IT solutions and services
Ensure compliance with legal and organizational policies.
Monitor contract performance and address any issues that may arise
Ongoing attention and management of high volume inventory of Software, Hardware and recurring Service Renewals
Process Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to increase efficiency
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in Technology Procurement

Education and Experience Requirements:
BA/BS and 4+ years of relevant procurement experience with increasing reponsibilities in a strategic role.
Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist, preferably in the IT Solutions and Services industry
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Knowledge of legal aspects of procurement and contract management
Familiarity with IT products and services

Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Frequently drives to site locations with occasional travel within the United States. Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken and written words and sentences. Interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Must work with diverse groups to obtain consensus on issues.
