We are currently in search of our new Procurement Manager. for Soltec North America.
Your goal will be manages, supervises, and coordinates all aspects of raw materials and/or equipment procurement; oversees activities and operations of the Tracker procurement department and staff.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING
The Procurement Manager will work to achieve and exceed quality, control & delivery performance targets across all procurement phases in our Trackers Division, to improve competitiveness of Soltec North America.
Main responsibilities
Develops, manages, and supervises all aspects of procurement, including sourcing, purchasing, fabrication, logistics and related administration.
Drive strategic supplier initiatives including supplier selection, development, consolidation and platforming methodology.
Develop and deploy risk mitigation strategies (assurance of supply, tariff issues, alternative manufacturing, cost increases, single supplier risks, etc).
Educate, train and enforce sourcing, procurement processes and policies utilizing innovative business acumen and best practices.
Evaluate vendor performance for profitability and establish service level standards.
Leads strategically critical projects that bring exceptional value to the company through total cost reduction, key supplier relationships, commodity focus, supplier consolidation, cost/benefit financial analysis, and supplier quality management.
Ensures compliance with government, industry, best practices and appropriate corporate policies and procedures for purchasing/subcontract activities.
Develops, implements, and monitors department budget; manages expenses within approved budget constraints.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc) in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration or any other related field or equivalent.
Experience in the renewable energy sector
Minimum 5 years related experience with wholesale steel purchases.
Minimum 5 years in manufacturing processes: welding, roll-forming, stamping, laser cutting, bending, automatic and robotic processes.
Knowledge of international and local customs regulations , commodity markets, international purchasing/sourcing strategy.
Bilingual: Native or C1/C2 Level at Spanish & English.
