About Processing Clerk III

  Job Summary

  Opens, sorts, prepares, corrects, processes, stores and destroys documents per customer agreements.

  Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  * Reports volume and statics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, as required.

  * Ability to assist/deliver applicable training.

  * Quickly and accurately opens, sorts, prepares, corrects, processes, stores and destroys documents per customer agreements.

  * Receives, counts and verifies incoming mail. Opens a variety of mail either manually or through low-speed equipment.

  * Cleans, sorts and batches documents for effective image capture.

  * Sorts out returns (i.e. correspondence) for sending back to the customer.

  * Stores and destroys documents per customer agreements.

  * Reviews/resolves exceptions for processing.

  * Performs other duties as required.

  Key Skills

  * Communicaiton skills; both written and verbal

  * General knowledge of mail opening equipment, machines (i.e. Opex 50, Omation, etc.) or related equipment.

  * Knowledge of basic computer equipment and Microsoft Office products

  * Ability to pay close attention to detail

  * Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 15 - 20 lbs

  * Ability to work flexible/extended hours to meet production deadlines

  Minimum Qualifications

  * High School Diploma or GED

  * 3+ years of related remittance/document preparation experience

  Physical Requirements

  Physical demands with activity or condition requiring a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (i.e., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine. Physical demands may include walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping. May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling up to 25 lbs.
