Shift: Rotating 8 hour schedule (7a-3p, 3p-11p & 11p-7a, all required)

Our Butler, Pennsylvania location is in need of a Process Technician Backup to assist manufacturing operations and employees by optimizing equipment (hydrolic steam press) production performance and ensuring all employees are trained in the most efficient operational methods. The incumbent will spend the majority of time on the plant floor with production employees examining equipment, processes and operations and will suggest and implement production improvements as necessary.
*JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES: *
While the Process Technician is absent, the Process Technician Backup will be responsible for the following:
Assist team members with press issues, training and problem solvingTrain all team members as needed in press adjustmentsConduct back-up Safety, OSHA and other training as requiredParticipate in continuous improvement effortParticipate as department representative for all meetings on shiftAct as "manager on duty" as neededOther duties:
Press operation - counting and visually inspecting partsPerforming quality inspections to ensure products meet all specificationsFork truck operation (required - will train)Documentation under ISO/IATF guidelinesCross train on all equipment in the departmentREQUIREMENTS:
2-year technical degree or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environmentMust be flexible and adaptableMust be detail-orientedExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to teach others mechanical and technical skillsForklift use required -- will trainMust have finger dexterity and be able to see and hear.Must be able to climb and work from a ladder.Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.Must be able to wear/tolerate all PPE equipment; safety shoes, ear plugs and safety glasses.Must be able to come to work as scheduled on a regular basis and be able to work scheduled shifts as necessary, including overtime, mandatory and otherwise.Performs responsibilities in compliance with ISO-14001 policies, quality standards and procedures and OSHA regulations.A high school diploma or GED is requiredMust be 18 years or older to be considered for employmentSustainability and innovation are key areas of focus for JSP.
