　　This position is a member of the Global Manufacturing Engineering team, who supports the plants with new process innovation and manufacturing standardization. The responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer primarily focus on the development of scalable assembly processes for next generation battery products.

　　Your Responsibilities

　　Development, definition and optimization of cell contacting and surface treatment processes at module and system level for CEV batteries (focus on laser welding cell to busbar and cell to pack. Secondarily laser cleaning, wire bonding, plasma and CO2 cleaning)

　　Membership close collaboration in product development teams regarding process requirements

　　Planning and executing proof of concept/validation tests

　　Equipment supplier selection in collaboration with line project team

　　Support and execute continuous improvement projects for installed applications in all BorgWarner Akasol plants

　　Ensure lessons learned and best practice transfer between all BorgWarner Akasol plants

　　Continuously expand internal technology portfolio of contacting methods and suppliers

　　General support with other processes

　　Willingness to travel within Germany and abroad

　　Your profile

　　University or higher education degree in mechanical, electrical or mechatronics engineering

　　3+ years manufacturing experience with high volume series production and processes

　　Experience with laser welding process and machine development

　　Experience with statistical and problem solving methods

　　Proven experience with project management

　　Structured and diligent work style

　　Strong team and communication skills, as well as a sense of responsibility

　　Excellent MS Office skills

　　Fluent in German and English
