Job Overview
Ensures safe, appropriate, and economical use of drugs through theapplication of specialized skills and knowledge in pediatric patient care.The Department of Pharmacy provides comprehensive clinical services topatients at Children's Hospital Colorado. We have organized clinicalpharmacy services that complement the team approach to providing care. Ourclinical pediatric pharmacists are available 24 hours a day and help ensurethe safe and effective use of medication in children - as well as promotehealth, wellness and disease prevention. Our specially-trained pharmacistswork with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine the bestmedication regimen and monitoring plan for the pediatric patient. Clinicalpharmacy services are integrated into virtually all inpatient care units asdesignated pharmacists round with the medical teams. Through this directinvolvement, pharmacists are empowered to assist in therapeutic decisionmaking and therapeutic drug monitoring activities.

Qualifications
Education: Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree.Experience: Completion of one year pharmacy residency.Equivalency: One year of pharmacy work experience accepted in lieu ofresidency.Licensure: State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)Pharmacist license.
