  Job Description

  Perform mechanical design and technical analysis focused on the resolution of engineering and associated manufacturing issues for special projects. Work within a multi-disciplinary team providing technical guidance to team members in identifying and organizing the best approach to executing project-related tasks for focused project efficiency. Deliver the product or technology on-time at the necessary level of quality in compliance with requirements established by the business stakeholders. Plan and conduct development work on complex projects using new and unique approaches as applicable. Perform product mechanical design and technical analysis as required. Assist team members in establishing fabrication methods of EXP (Experimental Prototypes) products for V&V (Validation and Verification) testing. Provide guidance for the transition of product prototype manufacturing to full-scale ENP and production manufacturing. Provide technical documentation from the team that describes proven solutions for the project, including design files, technical drawings and specifications documents as required by the EMS management system. Accountable for training, developing, motivating, and guiding project personnel to achieve project objectives. Monitor long- and short-term industry trends. Evaluate existing Product Lines for performance in advancing technology. Interface directly with stakeholders, including internal and external clients, providing prompt and efficient reporting of project activities.

  Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

  Must have a bachelor’s degree, or foreign education equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering or other closely related engineering field. Must have 5 years of post-baccalaureate engineering experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Design for Manufacturability Engineer, Technologist, or closely related engineering role. The 5 years of experience must include experience in PDM (Positive Displacement Motors) or PCP (Progressive Cavity Pump) systems for the oil and gas industry; design of Hob milling for multilobe rotor designs; technical evaluation of HVOF, HVAF, and chroming coatings for PDM or PCP systems; implementation of CNC milling and polishing for long helicoidal parts; applied FEA modeling through Ansys or ABAQUS; applied design techniques through modeling software Creo or Siemens; applied mathematical geometrical modeling techniques for multilobe for PDM or PCP systems; implemented complete production line for manufacturing of PDM or PCP stators and rotors including installation of rubber injection lines, autoclaves, glycol baths, hob milling, adhesive coatings, rotor machining, deep boring, bottle boring, core extraction, pipe ID cleaning, water jetting, and grit blasting; performance testing and evaluation of PDM or PCP multilobe systems; applied metallurgical treatments including Nitriding, Carbonization, cold forming, and shot peening.
