We collaborate closely, bringing our expertise together to create a world-class employee experience.As Principal Product Manager, you'll empower Amazon managers to drive high judgment evaluation and performance decisions, and help them grow their team to continually perform against Amazon's high performance bar and deliver impact for customers by demonstrating the Leadership Principles. You'll uncover the root causes of employees', managers', business leaders', and HRBPs' pain points in talent processes, measuring the user experience and gathering insights from our UX team, science team, and talent management partners. You'll define the vision to teach Amazon's peculiar culture at scale, and translate that vision into a multi-year roadmap with detailed product and UI requirements. You'll make roadmap tradeoffs, managing ambiguity and influencing multiple stakeholders, and problem solving to deliver new features with the tech team.Key job responsibilities* Diving deep to understand the root causes of pain points for employees, people managers, business leaders, and PXT leaders* Driving innovative solutions that ensure a consistent and intuitive workflow throughout the product* Decomposing complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions* Setting the vision and developing/owning a multi-year roadmap to teach Amazon's peculiar culture at scale* Create and deliver detailed product and UI requirements* Manage complexity and resources by systematically prioritizing multiple streams of work* Continuously test and learn, leveraging data to drive decision-makingAbout the teamThe talent evaluation team is comprised of Product, Program, Engineering, and Analytics function. We partner with Research Science, UX Design, and additional talent management teams to innovate for Amazonians.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Seattle, WA, USA- Bachelor's degree- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product- Experience technical product management- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvementOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $144,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
