  Job Summary:

  The ESTO MRL Team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced engineer to join its team as a Principal Engineer - MRL on the F135 engine program located in East Hartford, Connecticut on hot section Blade and Vanes. The selected candidate will be an integral part of the ESTO MRL team and serve as the direct focal for a F135 Turbine military engine hardware MRL progression. This position requires interface with the CIPT, Operations, and the broad rest of the MRL organization. As the focal for key F135 parts the selected candidate will be tasked with firming up and executing plans of MRL 8 and eventually MRL 10 for the assigned hardware. Leadership Team. This task will require elevated teamwork, excellent technical task execution, and support planning.

  Key Responsibilities:

  Develop and sustain plans for MRL progression for assigned hardware

  Ensure the successful execution of MRL progression milestones

  Collaborate with CIPT, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurements and Supplier Development to ensure MRL risks are mitigated in a timely manner.

  Support required monthly MCAB and MECD reviews

  Obtain timely process capability documentation and data to confirm adequate process performance from suppliers, PFD, PFMEA, PCP, Tool and Gage Plans

  Drive required process capability requirements to suppliers to ensure successful manufacturing readiness

  Basic Qualifications:

  A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

  8+ years of engineering experience, or 5+ years with an advanced degree.

  Experience in the Aerospace industry.

  The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Strong knowledge of engine hardware, manufacturing processes, manufacturing process capability, manufacturing process performance.

  Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  Experience with Agile Project Management.

  Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

  This requisition is eligible for an employee referral award. ALL eligibility requirements must be met to receive the referral award.

  The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

  Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

  This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
