  Position Summary

  The Principal Strategy and Performance Security Consultant is responsible for maintaining and implementing a comprehensive awareness security strategy and performance programs to help prepare and educate employees on security best practices. This role involves assessing the organization's security needs and delivering engaging sessions to increase awareness of security risks and promote a culture of security. The position requires a high-level understanding of data manipulation and proficiency in spreadsheet tools, as a significant amount of data work is involved in analyzing security metrics and trends. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with security policies and procedures and evaluating the effectiveness of initiatives through metrics and feedback is crucial. Additionally, staying updated on the latest security trends and technologies to continuously enhance the programs and mitigate emerging threats is essential. Effective communications around all business area activities are also vital to this role.

  Essential Responsibilities:

  Strategic: Stay informed on security trends: Keeping up with the latest security threats, trends, and technologies to continuously enhance education programs and address emerging risks.

  Strategic Planning: Maintain and implement security education programs. Create comprehensive materials and modules tailored to the organization's security needs.

  Communication: Ensure effective communication of security-related information to all levels of the company, promoting a culture of security awareness and compliance.

  Conduct education sessions: Deliver engaging sessions to employees at all levels using various formats such as workshops, presentations, and e-learning platforms, maximizing effectiveness through written communication.

  Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with cross-functional teams, including TS, HR, and compliance, to align education programs with security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

  Provide security guidance: Offer security-related guidance and support to employees, managers, and stakeholders to ensure a consistent understanding of security principles and practices, emphasizing written communication.

  Project/Program Management: Provides overall project/program management and leadership. Direct activities include evaluating the organization's security awareness levels through assessments, surveys, and simulated phishing exercises to identify areas for improvement. Monitor and report on assessing security education effectiveness through metrics and feedback to measure the impact of education initiatives, identifying successes.

  Minimum Requirements

  Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree preferred. At least seven years related experience. Demonstrated experience in strategy and with business and operational performance measures. Experience in communications with demonstrated ability to deliver effective and strategic messages to audiences ranging from front line employees to senior executives. Experience leveraging technology. Demonstrated leadership capabilities in project management. Demonstrated ability to meet business and financial objectives.

  Salary range $110,000-$130,000

  Non-Bargaining

  The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $110,000.00 to $130,000.00 per year

  Pay and benefit packages may vary based on position. Some employees are under collective bargaining agreements, which determine the benefits they will receive. If the information conflicts with the terms of the written plan documents governing the plan, the plan document will control. Benefit plans are subject to change and Xcel Energy has the right to end, suspend, or amend any of its plans, at any time, in whole or in part.
