Vulcan Equipment Division

SCOPE and RESPONSIBILITY
This position is responsible for understanding all Vulcan Food Equipment Group product lines, their uses, applications, and pricing. This is the primary contact for territory reps, as well as customers, key dealers, and other influences of product purchase decisions. Telephone and email diplomacy are critical to success in the function.
BASIC FUNCTION:
Assists in the analysis and maintenance of the organization’s pricing structure and handle customer requirements for Vulcan Food Equipment Group’s sales functions. Requires product knowledge and substantial independent judgement.
Pricing
Maintain the accuracy of the organization’s pricing database
Assist the Customer Service department to resolve pricing discrepancies
Coordinate annual price increases and update all price lists within the company’s ERP system.
Create and maintain special pricing for programs, dealers, chains and customer groups
Provide the sales team with price sheets for select programs
Complete new customer set-up after approval from Credit department
Commissions
Prepare the monthly commission accrual
Handle adjustments to the designations of origination, specification, and destination of territories commissions
Provide the Accounts Payable function with commissions payment data.
Handle commission inquiries from sales representatives
Sales Performance Incentive Fund (SPIFF) Program
Maintain file of all SPIFF programs and appropriate approvals
Establish & maintain SPIFF campaigns and eligible payees on the organization’s sales portal
Receive, review, and process request forms for payment
Field inquiries from sales representatives pertaining to payments and eligibility
Other Duties
Assist the accounting department with the month end close process by preparing journal entries
Provide financial analysis support and ad hoc reporting to sales management, reps, business unit managers, etc. for data not available in the organization’s sales portal
Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor’s degree
Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office – especially Excel and Access
Ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects and responsibilities as an individual contributor or as a member of a cross-functional team
Excellent follow-up skills and attention to detail
They should also be detail oriented and possess strong mathematical, verbal, and written skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work in Louisville KY, office environment
Regularly required to sit at a desk and work on a computer.
