Summary: Mortenson is currently seeking a Prevailing Wage Project Accountant that will provide prevailing wage reporting support to multiple teams overseeing completion of a construction project. This individual will serve as a key liaison between Finance department and the project teams. What you will be doing: Review the construction contract requirements for assigned projects Attend project kickoff meetings to ensure alignment on requirements with project team Ensure weekly reporting is completed in a timely manner per the contract requirements Log payment shortfalls per the contract terms Support contractually required monitoring by third parties as required by the contract Audit setup of LCP Tracker Review project settings for accuracy Review the wage determination data for accuracy Process weekly payroll reports in LCP Tracker Load payroll information into LCP Tracker Review data for accuracy and completeness Work with project teams and payroll to resolve any payment issues Review apprentice data to ensure accurate payment and classification Elevate awareness of financial implications Generate Reporting out of LCP Tracker to support customer billing requirements Weekly Payroll Reports Weekly Apprentice Reports Other duties as assigned, including: Answer general questions on prevailing wage or LCP Tracker Represent Mortenson's best interests in working with project auditors Assist with annual and special audits as necessary Review team member set ups as needed Review timecard reports prior to processing How you will succeed: Detail orientation and organizational skills sufficient to support multiple concurrent projects Construction-related business exposure helpful; especially knowledge of prevailing wage and LCP Tracker Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years accounting experience, preferably with construction accounting Experienced supporting a large number of team members Proficiency in working on the computer in Microsoft Office, Email and Calendar systems, and PowerPoint Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, as well as experience with ERP accounting applications Strong working knowledge of basic office equipment Strong communication skills both written and verbal Ability to be highly organized Education and experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or equivalent experience in project accounting Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years accounting experience, preferably with construction accounting Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. #LI-BS1 Mortenson is an EOE/Affirmative Action/M/F/Veteran/Disabled employer.
