　　Summary:

　　Coordinates the scheduling process for pre-surgical testing patients and maintains provider/nursing templates. Interviews patients and/or families in order to collect accurate demographic and payor information prior to pre-surgical testing appointment. Serves as department receptionist and provides administrative support to the department. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

　　Qualifications:

　　Required:High School graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam. Previous experience working in a physician’s office or outpatient surgical environment. Previous experience working with a personal computer. Knowledge of Medical Terminology (either through coursework or previous work experiences). Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

　　Preferred:Previous experience working with Epic software program. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Previous experience working in a medical insurance and/or medical billing environment.

　　Physical Demands:May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating. May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to read job related documents. Ability to use computer.
