JOB REQUIREMENTS: Responsibilities: To perform offset printing functionson assigned press within predetermined time frames. To be the shiftfocal point of communication relative to productivity, quality, and rawmaterial usage on assigned equipment. Works as a team with PressOperators and put an emphasis on productivity, quality, safety and goodhousekeeping. Secure printing plates to printing units and adjusttolerances. Obtain or mix inks and fill ink fountains Start presses andpull proofs to check for ink coverage and density, alignment, andregistration Clean ink fountains, plates, or printing unit cylinderswhen press runs are completed Collect and inspect random samples duringprint runs to identify any necessary adjustments Control workflowscheduling or job tracking, using computer database software Aids incontrolling costs through effective material usage. Works with fellowemployees to develop skills that will aid in the reduction of rawmaterial usage. Provides feedback to Press Team Lead /Press Supervisoron opportunities for improvement within the scope of his/hermanufacturing process. Maintains records of daily production onspecified form Ability to communicate effectively with others, followdirection and make critical decisions ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE ANDQUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED preferred 1+ years relatedexperience and/or training; or equivalent. Basic mathematical skillsFrequently required to talk or hear.
