Position Summary
This field includes Main Responsibilities imported from Legacy System. The Predictive Maintenance Technician is responsible for developing, maintaining, enhancing, and providing the services for the plant's predictive maintenance program (PdM program). The PdM program is focused on identifying equipment problems through a variety of testing methods, then recommending necessary corrective actions and appropriate follow-up testing and monitoring. The PdM technician will also evaluate all plant systems for inclusion in the PdM program. The current methods in use are vibrational analysis, infrared temperature scanning and imaging, and ultrasonic/acoustic monitoring
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Collect PdM data on a regular basis (varies depending on equipment/system/testing type/etc.).
Build, populate, and maintain equipment databases; analyze collected data to identify issues/trends.
Determine appropriate monitoring methodologies & frequencies: create/maintain PM documentation.
Evaluate plant equipment/systems for inclusion in the PdM program.
Perform mechanical and electrical tasks in connection with PdM activities/tests.
Perform planning activities associated with PdM activities (define PM routes, job scoping, parts identification, ordering, shutdown planning, etc).
Work with department stakeholders to schedule and execute necessary corrective actions.
Identify appropriate follow-up testing and monitoring to verify efficacy of corrective actions.
Prepare, present, and distribute reports and presentation to plant stakeholders on a regular basis.
Evaluate emerging PdM technologies for inclusion in plant PdM program.
Perform long range planning to recapitalize aging testing/monitoring equipment.
Support development of Department and Stakeholder budgets based on PdM trends/observations 12.Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma (GED equivalent) Associates degree in mechanics, electrical or engineering technology preferred Specific (PdM, vibration analysis, thermal imaging) technical degree/certificates preferred Five (5) years minimum experience in manufacturing maintenance and repairs are required. One to three years of specific predictive maintenance experienced is preferred. Skills: High emphasis on manufacturing operations and multi-skills experience in industrial maintenance is required. Hands-on experience and working knowledge of manufacturing equipment maintenance is required. Must be able to perform root cause analysis, work closely with other departments, lead cross functional teams, have working knowledge of computers, and be proficient in machine operations. Ability to develop computer spreadsheets for cost tracking and analysis to examine equipment efficiencies and project economics. Must have the ability to excel in a team environment and must possess demonstrated leadership qualities.
The base pay for this position is $24.45 – $48.95 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
