We have operated in Colorado for more than 100years and today have mining and milling operations near Leadville, Kremmlingand Empire. Our Climax mine is located between Frisco and Leadville. OurHenderson mine and mill are an hour's drive apart - separated by theContinental Divide and a 15-mile conveyor system (10 miles isunderground). The Henderson mine is about 50 miles west of Denver and 10miles west of Empire, and the mill is located between Dillon and Kremmling.

　　Description includes but is not limited to:Safely performs duties related to the blasting and excavation of naturalmaterials at a skilled level.

　　May operate stemming equipment such as: backhoes, front-end loaders,skid-steer loaders, stemming trucks, and light-duty vehiclesMay perform or be responsible for the following duties:*Programing blast patterns using electronic blasting system*Reviewing blast timing and sequence in accordance with tying in pattern*Measuring blast holes for total depth and water depth*Determining powder load and stem height*Proper priming of blast holes and depths*Assembling primer and placing primer with main charge in blast hole*Controlling inventory explosives*Communicates and interacts with various departments and employees withinvarious levels of organization.Responsible for the knowledge and safe performance of the followingprocedures: clearing blast sites, securing and holding blockingpositions, blast initiation, post-blast inspection, misfires, miningout problem holes, dewatering blast holes, and lightning predictionMay assist with proper hook-up and delay techniques of non-electric,electric, and/or electronic initiation systems in accordance with blastdesign and engineering criteriaPerforms pre-shift and work area inspectionsMinimum Qualifications include but are not limited to:

　　Six (6) months of mine operations experienceBasic computer skillsMust obtain permission to legally handle explosives per ATF standards oncein positionKnowledge of hazards associated with all blast patterns, includingsecuring blast areas from public access and equipmentPreferred Qualifications:
