Dr. Giuseppe Tosto and the Genetic Epidemiology laboratory at the Gertrude H. Sergievsky Center (Columbia University, NY) is seeking postdoctoral research scientists with a background in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics or Computer Science. The candidate will be engaged in research focusing on neuro-degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's Disease and other age-related traits. The faculty members of the Genetic Epidemiology group are engaged in research focusing on gene mapping, functional genetics, and translational studies. This is a in-person position.

　　Responsibilities

　　Develop, characterize and optimize bioinformatics tools to analyze high-throughput genomic and multi-omics data (e.g. genome-wide association studies, whole exome/genome/RNA sequencing data etc.)Be able to work independently and collaboratively with highly interactive research groups.Duties will include designing and performing experiments, data analysis and interpretation, as well as writing manuscripts.
