What You Will Do: A sleep technologist works under the generalsupervision of the medical director or designee to provide comprehensiveevaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in center and homesleep apnea testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions,comprehensive patient care and direct patient education. A sleeptechnologist is credentialed in sleep technology and is able to provideoversight of other sleep center staff. Technicians and trainees workunder the direct supervision of the credentialed sleep technologist orthe medical director. You Will Need: Successful completion of a sleeptechnology program associated with a state licensed and/or a nationallyaccredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documentedproficiency for all competencies required of a sleep technician.Certification by a nationally recognized certification board and holdseither the Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), RegisteredPolysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), or Sleep Disorders Specialist(SDS) credential. If not registered at hire must complete within 2 yearsof hire.
