JOB REQUIREMENTS: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Polishingstainless steel framework, tubing, sheet metal and fabricated partsSelecting abrasives and/or pastes according to materials, sizes andshapes of work pieces, amount of stock to be removed, finishesspecified, and steps in finishing processes Verifying quality offinished work pieces by inspecting them Document process measurementsusing the required forms Must be proficient using measuring instrumentssuch as micrometers, calipers, and other gages to ensure conformance tospecifications Deciphers blueprints of parts, machines and/or diesMaintains a clean work area, machines, tools and equipment Follows allsafety and shop rules and regulations Performs other duties as assigned***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Education and/orExperience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)preferred 1-2 years\' experience with structural material, hand toolsand power tools and stainless steel grinding/polishing CommunicationSkills: Ability to read and write simple instructions and shortcorrespondence Ability to effectively report relevant data and jobspecific information as needed Mathematical Skills: Ability to performintermediate mathematics Computer Skills: Ability to navigate basictechnology, phones, time clocks and other systems where applicable WorkEnvironment: The Polisher/Grinder interacts with machinery within thefacility, which often involves heat, noise, debris, conveyance systemsand other potentially dangerous equipment.
