ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:

　　Televisaunivision is seeking a detail-oriented Playout Operator to support Univision Noticias Live, a News streaming channel on our streaming service, VIX. This position plays an essential role in ensuring the integrity of the streaming service to deliver viewer satisfaction.

　　The Playout Operator will accurately monitor the program stream, adjust content playlists as needed, support breaking news, and manage all program data. Additionally, this role tracks and coordinates deliverables to ensure all assets are available as scheduled and participates in the evaluation and implementation of workflows and systems.

　　The successful candidate will be organized, reliable, detail-oriented and deadline-driven, as well as very comfortable learning and using program scheduling and playout systems both on-site and remotely. This position operates in shifts to around the clock, including being on-call to support breaking news or off-hour playlist changes as needed.

　　YOUR DAY-DAY:

　　· Monitor the Network Playout and adjust the playlist as needed for news updates, breaking news and content issues.

　　· Schedule all content for streaming news service including programs, graphics, promos, news briefs and crawls.

　　· Develop fluency in using the scheduling software and executing workflows for a flawless on-air experience.

　　· Create, capture and edit all content metadata in systems as needed.

　　· Create, maintain, and set program formats on the grid level as well as live or server events. Review formats on a quarterly basis and make recommendations for revisions as needed to support business objectives.

　　· Be available on call after hours and weekends as necessary to revise playlist, trigger breaking news or support News team needs.

　　· Generate reports (AS-RUNS) after each shift and track scheduling, delivery, streaming and other issues in order to identify and resolve problems.

　　· Partner with Program Scheduling Coordinators, News Production, Art Department, Ad Sales, Marketing, and Content Management.

　　· Perform ad-hoc assignments as needed.

　　YOU HAVE:

　　· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

　　· Bi-Lingual – Fluent in English and Spanish (read and write)

　　· Self-starter, resourceful, adaptable and able to work well under pressure and on multiple projects at the same time.

　　· Ability to be on-call after regular business hours and weekends.
