The expected annual salary range for this role is $60374.97 - $88549.96 a year.

What you’ll do:
Within our facility, the Plating Lab Technician supports the chemical processing primarily involved our seals product line. This role is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and documenting chemical tests, maintaining test equipment, chemical management, monitoring test supplies and maintaining NADCAP compliance to test codes. This role is expected to support the plating production line with training, general maintenance / start-up activities, and waste water treatment.
Essential Responsibilities:
Prepare specimens for each step of the work process and evaluate specimens per test procedures.
Maintain data entry and proper documentation of all testing activities.
Perform key chemical testing including titrations, pH, atomic absorption, TDS, chloride ion, and the like
Perform other lab work and chemical testing/handling as needed.
Conduct an analysis of testing results and partner with Quality and Production to determine course of action
Help maintain lab equipment and environment
Perform activities and support of environmental including waste water treatment system operation and hazardous waste handling
Assist in shop maintenance and chemical additions
Qualifications:
Required:
Associates Degree from an accredited institution and 1 year of plating or chemical processing experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of plating or chemical processing experience.
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
Preferred:
Electroplater-Finisher certification through NASF or similar accredited organization.
HAZWOPER Certification
Skills:
Knowledge of plating, passivation, and pickling processes as well as lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
Ability to decipher industry specifications and military standards and ensure Eaton’s processes and procedures align.
Familiarity with chemistry platforms, processes and equipment (e.g. surface tensiometer, pH Meter, titrations, atomic absorption spectroscopy, conductivity meter, colorimeter).
Ability to communicate effectively with operations, quality, and leadership.
Knowledge of statistical process.
Ability to use a pipette, read a burette, and standardize a pH meter.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with materials testing.
Task oriented, attention to detail, ability to learn new skills.
Knowledge of industrial wastewater processes.
