　　This position will provide the candidate with the opportunity to start a career in platform systems engineering as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team responsible for leading all aspects of avionics system development. This position is onsite, in Cedar Rapids, IA.

　　This position may be eligible for relocation.

　　Primary Responsibilities:

　　Determines full avionics system requirements for fixed wing avionics systems; and allocates requirements to subsystems and functions.

　　Develops system design documentation such as interface control definitions, hardware interconnect definitions, and human machine interface documentation.

　　Develops test requirements and procedures for laboratory and flight testing.

　　Develops trace matrices for ensuring compliance to applicable certification regulations.

　　Conducts system level testing in laboratory for avionics system.

　　Basic Qualifications:

　　Bachelor's degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).

　　U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the information under this program/contract.

　　Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements.

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　Private Pilot and Aircraft Maintenance experience.

　　Personal project experience related to building or working with complex systems.

　　Experience with technical writing such as undergraduate research papers.

　　The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
