Air Liquide Large Industries provides our customers with industrial gas and energy solutions that are vital to their own industrial production. We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. We are constantly optimizing our supply network to provide high reliability and energy efficiencies allowing Air Liquide to adjust supply needs more quickly and effectively enabling growth to our customers.How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?This position, located in Anacortes, WA and reporting to the Operations Director, Hydrogen/Syngas Onsites, is responsible for managing the site safely and reliably by complying with regulatory requirements, developing and leading personnel, managing costs effectively, and developing personal skills and competencies. The facility includes a Steam Methane Reformer (7.5 MMSCFD Hydrogen), 207 TPD Air Separation Unit, pressure swing adsorption, steam/condensate systems, supply criticality and 6 direct reports.Operates Hydrogen Syngas and ASU facilities safely and reliably by complying with regulatory requirements, developing/leading personnel, managing costs effectively and developing personal skills/competencies.Operates facility in compliance with all governmental regulations and Air Liquide policiesMaintains all necessary licenses and permitsProvides all regulatory training; maintains documentationReports and investigates all incidents; ensures corrective actions are completed in a timely mannerEnsures all performance evaluations, hiring, promotions and assignments are free of any form of discriminationMeets or exceeds company safety standards including fundamental safety rulesImplements and maintains Life Safety systemsOwns key operating documents; ensures updated red-line PIDs at all times; displays detailed understanding of content and significance of each documentMakes plant/process decisions performs process troubleshooting; establishes clear delegation of this authorityFosters positive internal/external customer relationshipsEnsures delivery of quality and quantity of product required by businessPartners with Maintenance Center (MC) to execute predictive/preventive maintenance to eliminate failures, unplanned maintenancePartners with MC to execute planned maintenance turnarounds, unexpected events; ensures plant staff is engaged in support of TAR planningSets and maintains high housekeeping standards to exemplify and improve the Air Liquide imageKeeps plant hazard analysis current; displays thorough knowledge of possible hazards and associated safeguardsUnderstands/applies elements of process safety; ensures all PSM requirements are metEnsures adherence to Management of Change procedureDevelops long and short term planning for improving safety, reliability and efficiencyMaintains adherence with IMS requirements including compliance with current GTs, keeping EIS plans/PMs currentEnsures all action items from audits and other sources assigned to plant are completed on timeEnsures compliance to PM and PdM requirementsEnsures maintenance work is planned, scheduled and completed effectively; approves all critical work permits (hot work, confined space, etc)Models exemplary safety behavior; leads by example; works to achieve "zero accidents"; takes a leadership role in safetyConducts annual performance
