  Description:

  *According to established protocols, conducts clinical assessment of the patients health care status and needs and provides patient care to facilitate expected patient outcomes. Triages emergency walk in patients. Assesses patients for pre-operative clearance.

  Performs routine physical examinations.

  Compiles and evaluates medical histories and physical findings.

  Establishes diagnoses and makes treatment recommendations to be reviewed by physician.

  Displays compassion and understanding with patients consistent with Standard of Excellence principles. Responds appropriately to patient questions.

  Prescribes and initiates diagnostic tests and procedures such as laboratory tests and radiologic

  procedures. Obtains physicians signature within twenty-four hours. * Checks off all CPT codes as procedures are completed (lab, injections, treatments, X-Rays)

  *Performs other duties within job scope as requested.

  Minimum Qualifications:

  *Graduation from a school of Physician Assistants is required.

  Certification from the National Commission of Certification of Physician is required.

  Minimum of two (2) years of related clinical experience is required.

  Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments is necessary

  *Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the State of Florida.
